Bruno Chiche
Bruno Chiche started his professional career at 18 as copywriter in a big advertising agency FCB (now integrated into Publicis), which gave him the taste and a real knowledge of the advertising language.
After following acting classes at the Conservatoire, he switched towards cinema at the age of 20. In the beginning first assistant to directors such as Nicole Garcia, Robert Enrico, Jacques Doillon, Claude Sautet, etc… he then directed several short films, the last of which, “Le Pinceau à Lèvres”, for which he was selected to represent France at the Cannes Film Festival at the age of 23! That is when he started shooting commercials and has shot a great deal since.
His speciality is, undoubtedly, actor’s performance. Well know for his capacity to integrate naturally and spontaneously the advertising language, he has directed a great deal of very successful “food” commercials such as “Maurice and the Gold Fish” for Nestlé, the Kellogg’s saga, the Panzani saga, the La Laitière that ally advertising efficiency and wonderful interpretation.
The elegance and freshness and a very realistic humour, close to the everyday life are undoubtedly his branding.
He is also a well known feature film writer and director and has just finished his third film “Small World” staring Gérard Depardieu which has just been selected for the opening of the Berlin French Film Festival in December 2010.
