Bruno Decharme
After his studies of history of art and philosophy, Bruno Decharme has worked in theatre. He then moved to film industry to work first as an assistant of Jacques Tati, then as an editor, and screenwriter. Later on he started directing short films, music videos and commercials, for which he has received numerous awards.

Bruno Decharme is also known as a collector. From 1980, he has constituted a collection of art brut, today recognised as the most prestigious collection of this kind of art in the world. Together with abcd, a foundation devoted to art brut, which he created in 1995, he has published numerous books, organized touring exhibitions and directed several documentary films on the creators of art brut. He has just finished producing and directing a feature film on the same subject.
