Didier Canaux graduated from school of visual arts in New York, after creating multimedia pieces exhibited in New York, Rome and Paris; filmmaking imposed itself as a natural follow-up.

Having art directed many high profile commercials and pop promos in the nineties for the likes of Michael Hausman, Jake Scott, Doug Nichol, and the group Tomato, he directed his first test commercial for Nike that was chosen by shots for their New Directors category, his second « Nature » was selected for the « Rushes » Soho shorts festival in London.

His ability to work with actors and to distill great visuals has led to his directing more than 50 commercials worldwide.

His careful attention to the script and the ability to find the particular « look » that fits a story has made him very successful with clients over the years. His love of editing, understanding of music and interest for novel ways to tell a story keep him on edge, always searching for a challenging new project.

Didier Canaux is represented worldwide by French Directors, except for France and Great Britain.
