Matthieu Jorrot
Matthieu Jorrot is a director living in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Native French, born in Paris, Matthieu Jorrot was raised in Stuttgart, Germany where his parents moved when he was five years old.
After studying at the University of Filmindustry in Paris, he started making his living as a photographer, AD, artistic coordinator and music researcher on various commercials and music videos for different production companies in Paris.
In 2002 he made it to Prague, working as set photographer and AD, but mainly focusing on realizing personal projects.
Having completed his first short film, “Panorama”, which Matthieu produced, shot and edited all himself, he decided it was time to push it forward with commercial and music video directing and was promptly signed by Filmservice Productions in Prague.
His third advertising project, a spot for the Fresh Film Festival in Karlovy Vary was selected in the New directors section of Shots (#98).

In 2008, after 6 years, Matthieu decided to move back to France, where he started working with Hamster Publicite on the french market. As a first job of the new label of Hamster, Souris-Inc, matthieu shot an interactive internet-campaign for Extreme (Nestle), which turned out to be very successful - Cyber Christal Meribel (France), Epica Silver Award (USA), FWA (USA) and Prix des DA (France).
Parallel to the advertising, Matthieu is preparing a 30 minutes shortfilm, “The Puritans”, finishing an animation shortfilm and started working on a feature project.
Matthieu, speaking French, English, German, Italian and partially Czech, is a truly multicultural talent with an eye for French aesthetics and lightness.
Matthieur Jorrot is represented by French Directors worldwide except for the Czech republic.
