For years I travelled around the world with a camera, I always enjoyed the encounter of different cultures, of countries different than mine. As I travelled I started to dream of making fims and naturally started as an assisatnt director.
Years later my decision to become a director was made after shooting with Emir Kusturica (2 Palmes d'Or at Cannes!) in Mongolia. I was in charge of doing the casting, the reccee and the making of. Using this exceptional adventure , I decided to stop my carreer as an assistant on this wonderful souvenir and start directing.
My first film was a documentary shot in 16mm. The story was about the euphoria of a small forgotten village of the north of France whose football team is about to encounter the prestigious team of Auxerre, several times French champion, for the semi finals of the French cup. The film got great praise but above all it attracted the attention of cretive directors who offered me my first commercials.
Since this film, ten years have passed and I never stopped shooting commercials in France and abroad. I am happy with this situation and as they say : "if it was to be redone, I would do it again...".
Today my motivation is as on the first day, my curiosity is unappeased and my conviction is still the same : to direct films for my pleasure.
